Affidavits & Sworn Statements in DFW
Jurats and oaths for affidavits, declarations and sworn statements.

An affidavit is a written statement you swear or affirm is true. Notable Notary administers the oath, watches you sign and completes the jurat, so the statement can be used by a court, an agency, an employer or an insurer.
I cannot draft or advise on the content of an affidavit. An attorney or the requesting office can help with wording.

Common questions
All questions Do I have to swear on anything?
No. You can take an oath or make an affirmation, which carries the same legal weight without a religious reference.
Can you notarize an affidavit that is not in English?
I need to be able to communicate directly with you and to read the notarial certificate. The certificate must be in English; ask before booking if your document is in another language.
